Join Stinson Water and BCPUD for the first public meeting of the Community Wastewater System Feasibility Study (see the flyer below for details). This study is not evaluating community growth. Rather, it will look at the long-term vulnerability of existing septic systems, quantify their adverse effects on local surface water and groundwater, investigate the opportunity for environmental restoration, and evaluate public wastewater infrastructure in light of changing climatic conditions, including sea level rise.
The goal is to better understand these challenges and explore potential solutions that can protect water quality and support reliable wastewater services for our existing communities over the long term. No decisions have been made, and no wastewater project is being proposed at this time.
This meeting marks the beginning of a community-based planning process. Community involvement will be an important part of the study. We want to hear from residents and property owners and incorporate local knowledge, community priorities, and concerns as potential options are identified and evaluated.
Please join us to:
- Learn more about the study and why it is being undertaken
- Ask questions
- Share your knowledge and concerns
- Help shape the conversation at this early stage
