History and Background
The Stinson Beach County Water District was established in 1962, under enabling legislation from the State of California Water Code, Section 30000 et seq., with service categories of Domestic Water, Onsite Wastewater Treatment Management and Solid Waste. We proudly serve about 10 square miles along the beautiful western shoreline of Marin County.
Our leadership is composed of a five-member board, elected by our community members for rotating four-year terms. We are conveniently accessible via the Shoreline Highway (State Highway 1), about 11 miles from Mill Valley, within the Bolinas-Stinson Beach Elementary and Tamalpais Union High School Districts.
