Chapter 1.01: ESTABLISHMENT OF POLICY MANUAL
1.01.010 Title
This Policy Manual shall be known as the "Stinson Beach County Water District Policy Manual” and may be cited as and referred to herein as "Policy Manual".
1.01.020 Maintenance of Policy Manual
The District Secretary shall maintain and update this policy manual.
Chapter 1.02: DEFINITIONS
1.02.010 General
For purposes of this Policy Manual, certain terms, phrases, words and their derivatives shall be construed as specified in this chapter, unless otherwise specified in this Policy Manual. Words used in the singular include the plural and the plural the singular. Words used in the present tense include the past and the future tenses and vice versa, unless manifestly inapplicable.
1.02.100 Definitions
For purposes of this Policy Manual and the administration of District policy, the following terms shall have the meaning indicated herein below.
1.02.105 Board, or Board of Directors
“Board” or “Board of Directors” shall mean the Board of Directors for the Stinson Beach County Water District.
1.02.110 Director
“Director” shall mean each member of the Board of Directors.
1.02.115 County
“County” shall mean County of Marin, California.
1.02.120 District
“District” shall mean the Stinson Beach County Water District.
1.02.125 Manager, or General Manager
“Manager” or “General Manager” shall mean the General Manager of the Stinson Beach County Water District.
1.02.130 Oath
"Oath" includes an affirmation or declaration in all cases in which, by law, an affirmation may be substituted for an oath, and in such cases, the words "swear" and "sworn" shall be equivalent to the words "affirm" and "affirmed".
1.02.135 President
“President” shall mean the President of the Board of Directors.
1.02.140 Secretary, or District Secretary
"Secretary" or "District Secretary" shall mean the District Secretary of the Stinson Beach County Water District (see Title II – District Administrative Code, Section 2.05.060 which gives the Board authority to appoint a Secretary).
1.02.145 Vice President
“Vice President” shall mean the Vice President of the Board of Directors.
1.02.150 State
"State" shall mean the State of California.
