Receive a Discount on Your Water Bill!
Qualified applicants of this program receive a 30% discount on their monthly water usage charge and a waiver of their monthly basic wastewater service charge, but monthly water consumption must remain below 3,000 gallons, which is the limit of the first billing tier limit. If monthly water usage exceeds this threshold, normal billing rates will be applied to the entirety of that month’s water usage.
Approval is valid for one fiscal year and all participants are required to reapply annually. Denial of application may be appealed to the District’s Board of Directors.
Program Criteria
- The account to which the discount is applied must be in the same name as the applicant.
- Applicant must be a full-time resident at the address indicated and it must be applicant’s sole residence.
- Applicant cannot be claimed as a dependent on another’s tax return.
- Total household annual gross income cannot exceed the most recent income limits for “Very Low Income” for Marin County as published annually by the California Department of Housing and Community Development, Division of Housing Policy Development.
